A couple of us are planning on exploring some dirt roads and camping in the Angeles Forester this weekend. We will likely do the Rincon Shortcut route, among others. Chime in if you are interested.

Short notice, I know, but hey, the site was down!

I really need to teach my wife to drive stick so we can swap Foresters for just such weekends.

My 5mt is a bit low currently with coilovers if you don't recall.
Hers is a stock 4EAT just needing de-virginized from only running on asphalt.

I might talk her into it if you guys will be hitting any empty mines that we could explore for a while. Ducktapeguy knows of some real big ones.

I am also only talking about Sat. Which day were you thinking?
I have an AutoX to run my FXT in on Sun out at CalSPeedway in Fontana.

Yah, I remember you've been lowering your Forester. Kinda going the wrong way aren't you? We are talking about both days, but Rincon would likely be on Saturday. Wondering about the weather now!

rain check ?

so it didn't happen ?
well, good.
Because I was feeling really lame for not going.
Let's plan an adventure with 3-4 weeks lead time so everyone can commit. Rain or shine.
I'm voting for Anza Borrego or Rincon Shortcut.

Or,
The mammoth / june lake area is pretty damn awesome.

Yeah, I flaked. Unless Ducktapeguy and Ploney made it out there, it didn't happen.

I like your suggestions, and I'd be up for any of them. I'll be down to Anza Borrego this spring for sure, probably making another week long trip of it like I did last year.
