Hello all,

I cant remember now if i saw it here or on the FB page but im sure i saw someone post something about a replacement aircon pump being £700 but they found a much cheaper alternative.

Trouble is, i cant find the post anymore.

Anyone know what im talking about? and im sure i saw it in the Europe section

Thanks

James

I don’t have experience with Subarus, but I had to source one for a VW a while back. Dealer price was £780, but I found the exact same part for around £250. The key to finding it was having the original manufacture name and part number.

I am guessing here, but I wouldn’t mind betting your Forester is fitted with a Sanden compressor (most of the cars sold in Europe have Sanden compressors, whether made in Europe or Japan). If so, it is highly likely it has a foil sticker with the Sanden number on it. It is a pretty simple 6 or 8 digit alphanumeric code.

Maybe pop you phone camera on a selfie stick and see if you can snap the sticker?
