Has anyone changed out the license plate bulbs to some super wicked awesome LED's? Well I have and I have a problem.

The bulb sockets go in at a 45 degree angle, they both face the same! The left light shines perfectly on the plate, the right light, shines at my bumper. I don't understand why the right light is facing the wrong way, now i have to do surgery. Would it be possible to flip the fixture?

I was surprised when I saw this during the bulb swap to LEDs. It seems kind of wonky, but its no big deal. People have tried to rotate them in the forum. I didn't feel like putting so much time into it, so I just made a small shroud/shield from aluminum foil and placed it around the wayward aimed LED. It blocks some of light from going to the side and reflects some back in the right direction.

Not a great robust solution, but it took ~1min. Just remember to have the shiny side of the foil facing the bulb. :biggrin:
