They were rubbing the flares right after install. The flares wrap around the bottom, and that's where it will make contact on bumps. I had part of the inside flare cut-off (the part that wraps around underneath), so that the fenders could be rolled. The tabs on the flares didn't line up perfectly with my fenders anyways (just used the 3M), so I didn't really lose anything by cutting, and you can't tell from the outside.
In summary: cut off some of the flare, roll fenders, and a little negative camber.

You won't have any issues with rubbing at stock ride height. I'm not sure if you'd rub on your spring perches with a et43. As for being flush, you might still be tucked just a tad in the rear.
This is a 9.5 wheel with et38 on a 245/45 19 there is some camber in the rear.
Thanks for posting, I was looking at a similar wheels size (can get a really good price on work m8r in same size at the moment) but looks like it will stick out a bit too much for my liking :frown2: are you on coilovers?
Do you think the poke will be less obvious with sti spring height?

Just need to buy tire (Toyo proxes sport or Michelin 4s) I wanna go with the 4s but not sure if it will stretch 275/35 any tire advice will be appreciate n please dont bash also thanks to Keith I was one of the first few to get a set karlton flares its just taking me longer to get this build together with 2 kids n a baby
Just found this thread and made it through all the pics that were still hosted! Lots of great setups in here.
I recently purchased my FXT off a member here and it's sitting on 2011 STi BBS (18x8.5 +55) with 25mm adapters (effectively +30mm offset). Tires are 245/40 all-seasons and no rubbing on swifts and GR2 struts, but I feel like a 45 series would look a little better and would also be pretty much spot on with stock diameter. Not sure if that'd cause rubbing, though. Sounds like a few people have run into that in the rear with something close to this configuration, and they needed to roll.
I'm getting ready to replace pads/rotors and will be test-fitting a set of 720Form GTF1 17x9 +35 that came off the BRZ I just sold. They're wrapped in 245/40 MPSS, but that's a pretty short tire on the Fozzy. With the change in offset and width, I'll only be seeing +1mm on the outside, and I'll be getting a set of 245/45 Conti Sports, most likely.
The only thing I'm not sure of is whether or not this wheel will clear the 06-07 WRX 4/2-pots. Haven't found enough people running this wheel to know for sure; I just know they don't clear Brembos. If they don't fit, who knows what I'll get, but I'll end up selling both current sets, so I can recoup some cost. Don't wanna run spacers or adapters because my tire shop is picky about that.
