Posting on this forum to hopefully get some answers! I took my 2010 Subaru Forester into the dealer to get the airbag recall taken care of (they took 7 HOURS to complete after I was first told it would take 2.) Notice a day or two later my cigarette lighter (if that’s what it’s still called) isn’t working. My phone charger works in any other car but not mine! Even the one inside the console next to the aux isn’t working. Called today and they said the airbag recall has nothing to do with that...but didn’t they take off the dash and could’ve messed with something back there or it could be wired back incorrectly? They basically said it’s not their problem but I could make an appointment but they would charge me. So upset! I charged my phone on the way there for directions everything was working fine and now there’s no power. Checked the fuse box and everything’s good but neither port is working please help me!!

Do you own a multimeter? I would probably check that the fuse box is getting power at that slot (showing 14 volts or so). The car may need to be running for this. I would also doublecheck the fuse with the multimeter, not just a visual inspection. If there's power there and the fuse is fine, it must be a problem between the fuse box and the outlet, which I would say is pretty clearly caused by them. I'd go back to the dealership and escalate as far as you need to to get it fixed for free.

The voltage on the fuse box is fine everything checks out with the multimeter I’m going to have to do what you said and really push them because this is ridiculous
