Well, the other day I was driving around, and I got into the boost a little bit, and I pulled into a parking lot. As I pulled into a spot I had a bunch of smoke roll out of the hood. White-ish in color and smelled like oil burning on the exhaust. I popped the hood and the smoke was coming from around the turbo. I looked all over for any oil, but didn't see any. Took the Fozzy to the Subaru dealership but they haven't found any source of an oil leak or coolant leak. Any possibilities?

I'd start looking for a used td04-13t just in case, not saying that is what it is but it does walk like a duck.
Well, I might be getting a used VF39 any way to do a swap, but the TD04 that I have on there right now seems to be pretty strong, and I don't hear anything funny. It does have that crappy stock Y-Pipe though, so could it be that when I get full boost the oil that blows through could be misting onto the turbo housing? Have a Perrin Y-Pipe coming soon...

I was thinking coolant so...

Maybe a cracked coolant reservoir? This sits near the turbo, mine on the 02 wrx cracked and I was getting smoking from a similar location. The 02 wrx's was metal, the replacement reservoir was plastic, just like my 07 FXT.

Well, the dealership went through everything, no oil leaks, no coolant leaks, no smoke... so they are chalking it up to hit a small puddle that splashed onto the exhaust and caused steam to come up through the hood area. I must admit, they had me under the car also, couldn't see anything... and all fluid levels are good!
