Recently a friend who is a GM mechanic was doing a cam belt change on my car (02 Forester S) and noticed that the ac/idler pulley bolt was broken. So I ordered new parts from a Subaru source and was going to put the parts on myself. Problem is I cannot figure out how to put the idler arm, pulley pieces and bolt together and get it to keep downward tension on the pulley so it does not slack up. I am obviously overthinking this but am at my witts end.
