Just got a new 98 forester s, still new to this forum but has been a lot of help. Has 200,000 on the odo, but i only bought it for $800 from a friend. Just going to use it as daily for now, anyone have any ideas on the best sounding exhausts for N/A subarus without having to buy headers?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum from Oregon!

Congrautulations on the Forester purchase.

As to exhaust, I'd recommend a Magnaflow axle back. Very mellow, but it can roar! We have one on both our Foresters. You can look over my exhaust write up here.

If you want louder, you can delete the stock resonator, but some have had droning issues when they did this. I opted to go with an aftermarket resonator.

I started off with a catback and it was loud, I had a tsudo n1. But the headers make it so much better. Deeper and rumbly. I picked up borla knockoffs for less than 150 new and they were great. You should consider them
