I had my 55 plate 2.5 turbo XT Forester 50k last service - cambelt and tensioner etc over £ 500..................

Just booked it in for 60k service quoted + £ 500 again as all oils need changing - this sound about right ? - from a main stealer near Southampton

I will talk to another local dealer to check

I asume that is Sparrshatts?

why go to a main dealer? a guy who lives on the same estate as me is a subaru specialist and just opened his own garage (so his dad tells me!).

there is also 2 guys near waterlooville who have a garage. both of them used to work for Subaru.

I can find out their numbers if you like.

The car is still under warranty with Subaru so I have to keep it serviced with
main dealers only until October though - I will look into independents then

Be handy to have there contact details

Hello

As part of new(ish) EU law, a car doesn't have to be serviced by the manufacture to keep its warrenty. The only stipulation is that the work and parts are of the same quality.

Hope that helps
