Seems like there is a lot of conflicting info right now, but I heard rumors of widespread damage from Rio Dell to Arcata, and supposedly a portion of the Bayshore Mall in Eureka collapsed... can anyone confirm this? Hope everyone is ok!

No serious injuries anyway, but it looks like extensive property damage. It's my old stomping grounds up there, and while I've been through a number of lesser quakes, this one's the strongest in a good long while. I barely missed the last 6+ M in 1992, and one in '94 sent our dishes flying out of the kitchen cupboards. Good ol' Mendocino Triple Junction! If you live up there long enough you sort of learn to roll with the quakes... the smaller ones occur almost on a monthly basis.
