Hi Guys
I have got a 1999 2litre non turbo manual Forester and I have the common 5th gear problem, jumps out under decelleration.
I have a big fishing trip planned with about 2500 miles to do through France and want to know if 5th gear finally goes will it kill the box or just 5th gear?? It may make me swap the gearbox a bit sooner if it will all go bang.
Also any ideas on gearboxes- does it have to the same from another forester of same year/ years or would a legacy gearbox fit.
Thanks
Tim
