Hello - I recently had the 4pot/2pot brakes installed on my Forester. I had the calipers powder coated black. There are some exposed threads that are visible on the caliper that become rusty. This is mainly an aesthetic issue. Has anyone ever fitted a small threaded cap to this hole? Does anyone have the thread type, size, pitch?

you can add a short set screw, but use a good anti seize on both. I believe the threads are m10 or m8. Use a screw pitch gage and calipers to measure or buy metric bolts to test. Or buy a longer bolt. You can always put a nut on and cut to size. The nut will help clean the thread after cutting.
