245 40 R18 on Xt

Hey Guys
Little help for a new guy please
I have an XT '14 no mods to suspension and i was wondering if i can run 245 40 R18s on it?
They are all season
Continental procontact ssr 245 40 18 All season with focus rims



They came off an impreza
Ive been told conflicting things 1 - that they will fit by an impreza enthuaist and fitter, 2 they wont fit and will alter my speedo/economy by a dealer guy

How can i know/test?

Those are really small tires. 245/50R18 is the same rolling diameter as stock. 245/40R18 is 7% smaller than stock, your speedo will be quite a bit off, and your spare tire will be incompatible with use should you need it.

They are also likely to look really weird with no suspension modifications.

So they're too small... Ok i'll look at selling the rubber and keeping the rims then and getting proper size tires.
The rims should still work for my winter tires though right?
They're focus multi spoke rims off an impreza too

Do you have the specs for the wheels? It's likely they'll work but width and offset are worth considering.
