I do believe I’ve solved the license plate relocation issue I’ve been having with my 21’, first off I don’t want to spend$85+ to move my plate, so I figured out what to buy to make my own. Here’s the parts, first you need a Torque solutions tow hook shaft, the you buy two trailer license plate brackets, some stainless nuts, washers and bolts and bam, a clean, all black(except the plate and bolts) diy bracket. I got my tow hook on eBay everything else Amazon or the hardware store. I’m waiting on the tow hook shaft but I’ll post photos when it’s complete and installed.

I assume the $85 you are referring to is the grimspeed tow hook mount?

@Roman1337 Yep, and you need to use the pre 14’ bracket on the 19+ foresters, the newer ones are to short, the only other option is a platypus mount for like $93 on Amazon, not sure it that one fits

Hey guys sorry for the delay, usps is aweful slow just got it put together and on tonight, it’s awesome, and about half the price of buying one, plus I’m the kinda guy who like to make his own stuff, you can also adjust how how the plate height on the bumper, if you have any questions feel free to ask! The mount on the outside is about 2”off the bumper.

I like this.
Although i went for the Grimspeed mount as making my own stuff never works for me.
From the looks of things this sits closer to the bumper than the Grimspeed mount (mine sits probably another inch further forward, probably because the Grimspeed one is designed for a WRX and not the Forester. It still looks good, just a touch further out than this guys.

Thanks Roman!, the inside portion of the mount is very close to the bumper it’s got a really clean look to it!
