That seems like a great deal. About 500 under what I was able to get my Premium w/ similar options for in the Seattle area. I'd look at how many other premiums they have in stock with a similar build and decide to wait for the coupon if they have a few in stock. Realistically, most dealerships are sitting on a lot of stock right now and not that many people are buying to make up for the months when no one was buying.
Hey! I tried to message you. Which dealership did you go with? I'm struggling to find a dealer that's willing to offer the OTD w/TTL that you got.
Same! I'm having a hard time with greater Seattle area dealers coming down below invoice. Let me know if you find anything.

My significant other purchased a new Forester last Wednesday. Five days later, I received a $500 build coupon from Subaru. She called the dealership and was directed to Subaru of America who said it wasn't possible because the purchase already happened. I'm not upset as I thought the coupons were no longer being distributed, and the fine print says not applicable for prior purchases. I do wish I hadn't gotten the impression from this thread that the coupons were no longer being sent from the website.

Also, one user spoke about transferring their coupon. As the coupons are tied to the name and address of the person who built the vehicle online, I can't see how this would ever work.
well I'm that lucky individual who recv'd that extra coupon, and it worked flawlessly. at least during the initial sale and financing. soa reimburses the dealer from what I see. now whether or not they'll see me not tied to this coupon and soa voids it is another topic...

Paid 26,450 out the door for my 2020 Subaru Forester Base model. Came with Alloy wheel package and auto dimming rearview mirror w/homelink. I believe the sale price was around 23,000. My girlfriend also got a $200 check from the dealership for the referral as well. No coupon used and I'm located in New Jersey
Also bought Thule roof racks immediately off Facebook market place for $60 which I thought was a steal.😁
Hello, can you let me know from which dealer you got your car? I've been looking for a good deal in NJ/NY/CT for a while and haven't had any luck so far. Thanks

So, I bought my first Subaru yesterday. 2020 Subaru Forester Premium in Magnetite Gray. I'm not cut out for car buying. It stresses me out.

1. Trim (MSRP): Premium ($27,395)
2. Options (MSRP): $795 Package 14 (blind spot detection, keyless access with push start, drivers seatback pocket, rear dual USB, and gloss black HVAC control panel bezel), $961 Popular Package #1 (auto-dim mirror with compass and homelink, exterior mirror w/approach lighting, rear bumper cover, all-weather floor liners, cargo tray), $93 rear seatback protector, $52 cargo net
3. Total (MSRP): $30,306, includes destination fee
4. Starting price: $28,891
5. Agreed upon price: $27,500 includes destination fee, and plus tax, title, etc.

The invoice prince on the car was $28,141. They're the only dealer in my area that would go below invoice. Everyone else I spoke with said that they couldn't match it and that they're not supposed to go below invoice..so I took it. I did notice that they added 3yr starlink to the car, for $74.95, without discussing it with me. Which ups my total to $27,574.95 but I could have removed it. Total OTD (less my 2500 trade) was $27,148.92..which includes the pop up starlink charge.

My husband isn't happy that I didn't add the 96/8000 extended warranty they offered. I kept saying no. The guy came down from $2520 to $2020 as his lowest allowed price to offer for it. He said I could think about it and call him today to let him know what I decide.

Thanks to this thread. I would have had no idea what to even ask for if I hadn't read it. I know I didn't get the best deal in here..but its the best one I could get close by with minimal effort.

I went to World Subaru in Tinton Falls, NJ. I used Costco Auto to help figure out the price I should've been paying and I got below dealer invoice. Let me know if you need help in the pms :)

If you think the price is good ... put a $500 deposit down on the deal over the phone before you drive to a dealership far away. That way, the price is locked in ... and the dealership can't claim they sold the car an hour before you arrived. Have them email you a receipt on the car, listing the sale price, deposit and VIN of the specific car.
I bought a 2020 Forester Sport from Grand Subaru in IL 3 weeks ago and I put the deposit down over the phone and everything worked out great. We even changed the model at the last minute (dropped the HK sound and power gate to save ~1K). We did all the paperwork in our car, never had to go inside the dealership. I also got the same "rumor" from another dealership in the area and decided to ignore it.....so glad I did. They have been very helpful along the way, everything worked as they said it would in terms of the deal and timing.....nothing but great things to say about Grand

I went down to Maryland area. I looked all over upstate NY and NYC area and MD was giving me the cheapest sales price
Ok. Thanks. I have a car to trade in but I don't want to drive it to all the way down to MD because the car has some issues.

Anyone in the NEPA area pick up a sport lately? Just got a price for a 2020 Silver, with popular package #2 and option package 22. Sticker shows 31,887$, price they gave me is 29,606$ before taxes and fees. Is this a good deal or should I try and work them down more?
we paid just a little less than that today CT dealers all refused to budge below 29k, dealing only with internet managers and being cash buyers. I tried to get into the 28,8 range and was told good luck with that. Also tried NY and MA dealers near the border....

I may be out of the loop, but can you explain what the $2,000 Subaru promo is? I'm not seeing that anywhere...
My local dealer at Adventure Subaru told us about it. We were looking in another city and they said $1800, but here they gave us $2000

Need help with Forester Premium OTD price. Thx!

Grey w/ pkg14 and other add-ons, MSRP is $29.7k, and the lowest OTD is $28.7k. I'm in MA.
Not sure if I should wait a little bit longer since it's apparently not a good deal. (I'm still waiting for SOA build coupon, but I'm not sure whether it's still existing)

Wondering what will happen after the release of 2021 Forester...

Help please! Grand Subaru in IL gave me good quotes, but another dealer said once I get to the door they will change. Anyone knows about it? True? I live far.
Grand Subaru is great. Their GM and sales manager are top notch. I would have purchased from them, but they would not match a better price from another local Chicago dealer. Many on this forum have worked with Jason, but it looks like he took a new role as a delivery specialist. Grand Subaru - Bensenville, IL
