Anyone with a 2019 Forester Touring verify that the side mirrors tilt down when in reverse?

@JamesBond Yes. I have a 2019 touring. Default setting is that the passenger side tilts in reverse. The manual says that the dealership can adjust the settings so both will tilt in reverse. We have our encore visit this weekend and will request that they change it for us.

Were you able to get it enabled for the driver's side as well?
yes, you can select which side to tilt. you can't tilt both at same time.
Why in the world can you only tilt one side?!
on page 30 of the manual, it has that you can have it changed by the dealer for both mirrors to tilt. Default has just the passenger side which you can only turn on or off.

Because you parallel park on the passenger side.
Because you parallel park on the passenger side.
But why would you limit it to only one side? I have never heard of another vehicle that only does one side at a time? According to the other comments above, it is possible to do the other side too, so I don't know why that wouldn't be the default action.

Seems like we are hearing conflicting reports now. Some are saying only one side at a time and others are saying it can be changed to do both sides at the same time.

I can confirm this is 100% correct. I had it done when I attended my Encore visit.
The tilting mirrors came enabled on my touring. I'm glad it did otherwise I wouldn't have known about them. I think it's a great feature, makes seeing the lines in parking lot a breeze

+1. Default should be set both but I like the option for either individually.

You must not have many one way streets near you. Our downtown area is mostly one way. I parallel park equally on drivers side.

Tilt mirrors are nice but with the curvey orange lines on the back-up screen grid I don't feel the need anymore. I do wish I had auto folding though.
