I am looking for simple info that is not on Subaru WebSite.

What is the Lift Gate clearance.

In other word, if there is a vertical wall behind the Vehicle, what is the minimum distance
between the rear of the bumper and the wall for the gate to open.?

Need to know if the Forester will fit in my Garage space.

I just went out to get a rough measurement and, it appears that, you will need about 20 inches for the hatch to open and not hit the wall from the bumper. Most folks pull in head first into their garage so this isn't an issue:wink2:

Thanks Securityguy. It is a large multi-car garage and i have to go between 2 cement posts to park. If i go head first,
i cannot open the 2 rear doors which is a bit annoying.
