My wife and I have owned many Subarus but when we bought our 2019 Forester Premium we have had nothing but problems. In the short time of ownership we have had Radio issues where we get the loading wheel that never goes away, power lift gate doesn't function, and most of all the CVT has a tendency to lurch forward and stall the car out. Each time, the car has not been throwing a check engine light but we have it stalling out on the highway. The car has been in the shop over 5 times already and no one is able to help us out.
Our local Subaru shop is so well versed in denying any issue or being able to "duplicate" the problem. Has anyone else experienced these issues with the CVT?

I have a 2019 Forester Sport. Car runs great untill I have to sit in stop n go traffic for about 15-30 min. Then it will decide not to go over 1500 to 2500 rpm it just hangs up. But you never know when it will do it. Most of time it will catch you off guard when you are pulling into traffic and scare the blank out of you. Also when this starts when you are cruzing up hill it likes to run in the 1500 to 2500 rpm range and the car will start to jurk and surge, so bad now my wife refuses to drive it. The dealer blamed it on bad gas, I didn't know what it was like to drive a CVT, ect. I got the car to do it with the technician in the car, so they said they found a flash for the computer for the problem. NO FIX. Now we talk about all the rattling. The headliner has been out of the car three times. Still rattling. The info center issues and on and on. We have been trying to like our Subaru experience but no luck so far. The car has been in the shop longer than in my garage and I have around 8,000 miles on it now.

I've never had the CVT/lurch/stall issue on mine and that sounds like a real problem on yours. As for the radio, I have to reset mine about once every two weeks to resolve the problem you are seeing (just hold in the power/volume knob for about 10 seconds and it resets and works again). Also, the power liftgate is a problem and often does not do what you want. So the radio and liftgate are frustrating.
