Hi All,

Can you use rims from 2017 Outback on 2019 Forester? Size is identical 225/60R17, however offset is different (48 vs 55). Will it affect handling and clear brakes?

Check the bolt/lug nut pattern/size. Don't know about 2019 Forester bolt pattern, but the 2018 is 5 on 100mm. Outback is 5 on 115 or something like that.

The 2019 forester is 5x114.

The lower offset will stick out farther. It should clear the brakes, fitment can be tricky with 4/6 pot calipers but the factory side pushers typically don’t cause any issues as long as you are not going below a 17.

The 19 Forester and Outback have the same exact bolt pattern of 5x114.3. The Legacy, Ascent and WRX also have this same bolt pattern. The wheels will fit, but will sit farther inside the fender due to the higher offset.

I found an outback snow tire setup on my local craigslist that I'm interested in. Wondering the ever so slightly bigger tire size for an outback would work on my 2019 Forester Sport. 225/60/r18 on 18x7.5 wheels with 42mm offset.
