I've been driving a Lexus IS 350 for several years--fantastic car. But my 16-year-old twins are almost 6-feet tall and no longer fit in the back seat, especially while wrangling soccer cleats/boots.

I live in Portland, Oregon, and wanted something more practical for skiing and mountain biking.

I purchased a 2019 Forester Sport (black) last week with packages 24 and 2. I also drove a RAV4, CR-V, and CX-5. RAV4 hybrid is nice, but no Android Auto and some new model year issues worked against it. I also liked the Honda, but they are everywhere and I didn't like the wheels at all. Ironic, since I'm going to swap out the 18" wheels on the Forester for 17". Finally, the CX-5 drove the most like a car. Which is Mazda's goal, but I was already giving up the zip.

This forum has been super helpful through the whole process, so thanks!

I'm very happy so far, but decided the stock wheels/tires look (way) too small with black paint. I'm also looking at roof racks and 2" hitch receivers.
