Subaru's daytime running lights (DRL) only come on when the vehicle is in gear. So the question has come up does the 2019 Forester Sport have the LED daytime driving lights like the 2018 did, as pictured?

Answered my own question. The US Sport trim used the headlights as DRLs.

I was at the dealership today comparing the forester headlights, as i was wondering the same thing. The sports have auto headlights no DTRL's that i could tell. But i believe that the models above Sport, has the LED strip around the headlight that i could visually compare.

Yes, the Sport trim and maybe the lower ones use the LED headlight at a lower output level for the DRL. Still a head scratchier as to why Subaru would do this as they all have the same headlights and housing.
