I believe them to be a different part number.

2019 Subaru Forester All Weather Floor Liner Mats Black J501SSJ030 Front Rear
I just ordered these for my 2019 Sport.

These are for older models.

My rubber mats fit perfectly but the car seems to be missing the metal piece that goes through the 2 holes in the mat to hold it in place. Called the service center and got no intelligent answer. Does anyone's 2019 Forester premium come with the piece I think I'm missing? Can you perhaps post a pic of yours so I can figure out what I'm actually missing. I only noticed because after the 50 Mile drive home from the dealership I bought it from, the mat had slowly slipped under the pedals.

Thank you very much.

Would these OEM subaru mats, "installed at port" , be covered for the term of the SOS plan and the 3yr 36 warranty? They are thin and I bet will form a hole within 3 years and will need to be replaced.
Carpet-type floor mats available

I ordered my new 2019 Forester Touring with all-weather floor mats. I assume these were installed at the port, as the carpet-type floor mats were in the back of the car, still in the plastic, with a note that one should use the carpet floor mats or the all-weather mats, but not both. I expect I'll keep the all-weather mats until they wear out (the ones from my 2009 Forester lasted almost nine years), then replace them with Weathertech or something similar.

The upshot is that I have a set of carpet floor mats for the 2019 Forester surplus. If anyone would like to have them, they're yours for the cost of shipping. PM me for details.

I got the all weathers but the carpets were installed. I'm guessing it's dealer's choice (or I suppose customer - they didn't ask). When I checked the vehicle when we arrived at the dealer, neither were in place.

I have them for my 16 Trek, and think they are great. Purchased from autoaccessorygarage.com. The customer service was excellent, and you should be able to speak to someone about what to purchase.

See the attached photos @ctt329 I was at my Dealer today and took photos of the piece you are missing in a 2019 Premium. This piece should have been installed. Do not use that mat until you can secure it properly.

Thank you so much. I knew something was missing. Definitely not safe without that bracket as the rubber mats slide around under the pedals without it..

Again I really appreciate it.
Wow! How the heck could that critical retainer-piece be missing on a brand new car??!!!

Mike
The dealership called me back after emailing about the missing floor mat retention piece and said it's a factory installed part. So the manufacturer forgot to install it. They will let me know how to proceed in the next 2 days.

I'll keep this forum updated.

Thanks all.
It's a part they should be able to ship to you since you are far away. Looks like an easy install of just pushing back the carpet flaps and popping the securing plugs in. One of our supporting vendors, Subaru Online Parts, who is also a Subaru Dealer, lists it on their online website:

Bought laser-measured front and back floor mats direct from Weathertech, which became available in early December '18. Perfect fit both front and back. Individual mats in front, one piece over-the-hump, in the back. Hard plastic, but thinner than those I bought in 2009 for my Highlander. $179.90 plus $15 shipping for front and back mats when shipped on same order. 7-10days when using free shipping method. Comes in black, cocoa or grey.
Can anyone show some pictures of their Weathertech Floor Liners in their 2019 Forester, please?
I bought the weathertech floor liners and sent them back. Not sure if 2018 & 2019 are the same. I didn't like the fact that under the gas pedal was not protected and edge that runs along the door jam wasn't either. I ended up buying Husky, should be arriving tomorrow.

I ordered the WeatherTech fronts for my 2019. $109.95 + $18 for shipping. Arrived this morning, two days after ordering. Haven't put them in yet since it's still minus one degree F outside.
I just installed some Weathertech front mats in our 2019 Sport yesterday. I will take some pics tonight and upload them tomorrow.
Husky's are now available for 2019 Forester. I have found them to be superior in coverage with great fit. In the past they have been considerably less expensive than Weathertech's. No more. Prices are now close in price. Price being equal I would still go with Husky. https://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f139/husky-weatherbeater-liners-2019-forester-794107/
