Hi from Denver, just backed my Forester into garage door and Shark fin. And the circuit board in it. Only one New in the USA $300.... no matter I don't have the money.. because I can't get the antenna mount off.... !?!?!? Gotta remove all interior panels to drop the headliner...???????

Take a look at this thread. It's not exactly the same as your antenna, but it does have details on how to get to the bottom of the roof antenna.

single nut from underneath. May not even have to drop the headliner, just pop the plastic rivets along the back of the headliner and you should be able to access the area you need to. May be tricky getting the old one unplugged. Can't recall how far back that cable goes.

You could just take it to the dealer, get it fixed, and make a claim on your insurance.

There looks to be a few tiny screws from inside the roof to the unit.. and talk with technician today, he's HIGHLY recommend I let dealership install... :/ 🤔

Would assume it is the gps, wifi, satellite radio, and fm receivers all amalgamated into the one unit.
The days of just being able to replace the antenna with a straightend coat hanger are long gone.
