I'm a first time Subaru owner and purchased the 2019 Forester. Parking in the woods has never been an issue with other cars. But our Forester sustained over 25 dings in the hood. From reading other forums is this more typical than I would have guessed with Surabu cars and SUVs. I guess the hood material is very thin, indeed. How do you fix these dents??

1 Welcome to Subaru family.
2 You are correct that 2019+ hood are thinner than usual for weight saving.
3 That must be big @$$heavy acorns.
4 I was able to use the pull a dent tool from Amazon and repaired 2 of door dings. However, it works good on smooth surface. Not as good on the edge or bend.
5 Take it to paint less repair shop and see what the cost may be.

Leave it out in the sun on the hottest summer day. For an extra assist, touch a piece of ice on the center of each dent when the sheet metal is super hot. Most of the dents will go away. Works with hail dents also. It could be worse:
