Hi all. This is my first post here, hopefully following the rules, and all. I recently tried for the first time to play mp3 songs from a USB stick drive in my Forester 2016. Very strangely, one USB plays all the songs on it, just fine. Another USB put in the same input, with the same songs shows only one song (out of 25), and a third USB does not even show up on the console. All three play fine in my wife's Acura MDX, so nothing wrong with them. All play fine on my PC too. No clue what is causing this. Any thoughts and suggestions? Thanks in advance.

What file name, folder names, folder paths lengths? Different vehicles expect the data in different formats. There sadly is no standard layout for usb media when used in vehicles.

Check that the USB is formatted correctly. For 2021 memory sticks should be formatted to FAT 16/32. Your manual should list the format type for your year.
