Hi everyone.

My SJ diesel is nearing end of warranty and I was wondering if it would be worthwhile getting her looked over for any potential issues before that happens?

I had the DPF light flashing recently which the dealer assures me was related to oil dilution and that the DPF is in the expected condition given the 115K Km's on the clock. Still It spooked me a little so I'm wondering if you guys have any guidance for me?

  • Is this even a good idea or will they see me coming and charge me god knows what for the emperors new clothes?
  • Is there anything the SJs are known for that I should mention if I do go ahead with this?

Any advice appreciated!

James

G'day & Welcome

Probably a good idea to have it checked over by the automobile group in your state NRMA, RACQ etc or an independent reputable diesel mechanic.

Hi Kevin, Thanks for taking the time to respond. I'll start looking around for a diesel mechanic
