Hi,

Today I have noticed what look like an oil leak on top of the harmonic balancer.

Anyone got a clue what it could be? Crank seal??

If it is, is it covered under powertrain warranty?

Although this did not get any replies, I thought I would give you guys an update.

It was the crank seal and was replaced under warranty.

So it cost around 80$ under warranty, no biggie.

How many miles did the car have when this happened?

Glad it was a cheap fix, harmonic balancer sounds almost too fancy an implement to be on a Subaru, and expensive to fix

I would says so, took less than an hour!

Only two parts, a seal and an O-ring.
