I recently purchased a CPO 15 Forester and just noticed, because of the light coming through, that there is a small dent in the inner door edge next to the trim panel. There is no paint missing so it looks like a factory defect.

The doors have these dent like pressed in sections but this is a defect. I’ve contacted SOA to see what they have to say about it.
You can see a sliver of light shining through That isn’t on the other side.

Did vehicle come with any type of warranty from dealer? CPO in that year would probably be an “As Is” sale. Not much SOA or dealer would do about it since it wasn’t spotted prior to sale.

We’ll see. I have a 5 year 100k mile warranty from the dealership. Not sold as is. This is a factory issue that is not easy to spot. The door frames was made improperly. There is a depression on the edge. Who knows, maybe SOA will do something.

I can't get the pictures in the original post to display (enlarge). Does anyone else have this problem? The problem persists after clearing the browser and reboot, over a couple days.
