I have a 2015 Forrester. Due to a freak accident, I inadvertently pushed a dime into the CD player. Ironically, I've never played the CD player but this dime is now bouncing around inside the player and shorting out my speakers so that all sound -- radio, phone, bluetooth-connected, whatever -- crackles and degrades. At this point, I can no longer use it to listen to anything.

Is there a way I can fix this myself? Or instructions on how to remove the receiver? Anything? Thanks!

Since my 2018 Forester is my first I was able to remove the 7 inch infotainment with the video of this link https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2873882
If yours is not like this go to you tube for search of removal. I lost 1 - 10mm socket and 1 screw not following advice. if you can get it out you could try shaking or taking apart where the cd drive is located. Do do a full test of everything before you button it up Just in case there is damage inside the unit.
