Anyone have any experience with these Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus's? they seem like a good compromise between street tires and BFG KO2 A/T's.

I just had some put on my ‘19 Forester this morning. Heading up to the snow this weekend so I’ll report back. 225/65 17

Loved the tires. Drove all day in snow with no problems whatsoever. It felt like I was driving on a dry road. No extra road noise at all. There was a drop in mpg (225/65/17) but I had a full car too so it’s hard to tell how much of a drop was from the tires.

Thanks Spoo0oon! I figure there will be a slight drop due to the taller size but it shouldn't be too bad. I think these will be my next tires since I would like something with a more aggressive tread. They are definitely good looking! If you get a chance, maybe you can snap a pic

How much of a drop in mpg? And do you have any further impressions since your last post? How has mpg been since your trip?

My 2018 VW Tiguan came with the all seasons on it, not the all terrain. That was one reason why I picked the trim and color I did because the other trims had continentals on them. I think these are a very good tire and usually when time to replace OEM I do either Pirellis or Michelins. We have one really good snow storm this year where before the plows came there was probably a good 10" on the streets in my neighborhood, so I decided to see how the VW 4Motion worked compared to my wife's 2.0XT. The tires handled incredibly good. I just churned right through all the streets will little hesitation at all and never once felt like I was going to be stuck. I have almost 14K on the tires now and no issues with noise and they have handled very well in all weather conditions.

Well looks like this tire gets no love in the north. Lots of sites/dealers list it but no availability. Looks like I'll be going my original route Cooper at3 4s.

I changed from Bridgestone Duellers 225/60r17 to the Pirelli 225765r17 10000km ago. Really pleased and at this stage cannot fault the tyre. Really good traction in the rough and improved handling compared to OEM tyres in all weather's plus they look good and the 225/65 ratio gives you an extra 1/2 inch ground clearance.
