I think I am ready to buy a Forester XT with all the goodies.

MSRP is just over 37k.

Since the 2015s have not hit the dealers yet but are on their way and are showing in the online transit inventory what should an appropriate 2014 discount be.

I don't mind the 2014 but I can't see paying the same as I would for a 2015. I am new to Subaru, will they start providing incentives like other brands once the new models show up. I would just buy the 2015 in a few weeks but wouldn't mind the 2014 if there was enough price difference.

Also April for 2015 seems kind of early. Is this just how subaru operates their schedule.

Thanks for any feedback.

I bought mine last May for just under 34,000.

MSRP on mine was $37.5k.

You should be able to do better than that. :icon_wink:

I would offering no more than the high 20's. Once the 2015's hit the road, the 2014 leftover should come down in price dramatically.

It really depends how long you keep your car. If you keep your car until the wheels fall off the resale of getting a 2015 really doesn't matter. But, if you trade in pretty early then saving that $2,000 or so means nothing than the hit you will take if you buy the 2014 over the 2015.

I think I will likely wait for the 2015.

I emailed a dealer with a 2014 Forester I liked. He came back with $36k on an MSRP of $37.3k

It's not worth even haggling if he is starting that high.

I guess I can be patient for a month or so.
