I cannot find the controls described in both the Owners Manual and the Quick Reference Guide. The + and - buttons are not by the screen. Does anyone know how to change the time now that its daylight savings time here on the east coast?

Thanks, I tried that but could not find an option to change the time on the clock. Is there something I'm missing? Is there a heading that says something else that includes changing the time?

I believe there is a menu option called "daylight savings"....select that and the choice is on or off; select "off" using the up/dn buttons and then the i button to set it...it's one of the few menus available when driving (engine on), more menus are available with the key in ACC

Thanks, I'll try it with the key in acc as turning on the daylight savings time changes it to an hour later than what is showing, need it to be an hour earlier for daylight savings time.

ummm...you got it bacwards! our "regular" time is eastern standard time; when we switch to daylight savings the clock does go forward an hour, by turning daylight savings "off" the clock goes back an hour

I tried ACC and still could not find a way to set the clock. When I turn on daylight savings if it is now 7:35 DST it goes to 8:25 (an hour later than it actually is).

Page 3-49 and 3-50 in the owners manual.

Hold the button to bring up the settings on the MFD (as Shemeel said) and then go to DATE --> DATE --> Use the up/down triggers to get to the time area, highlight the hour. Hit the middle trigger (I/Set) to select the hour, then pull the down trigger to change the hour down.

For better directions and screenshots, see page 3-49 and 3-50 in the owner manual. Keep in mind the OM is also available on your "My Subaru" page on subaru.com.

It'll take you less than a minute to change the time. Its easier than my wife's Honda Accord. Here I am a highly trained computer technician and I couldn't figure out how to change the time on the Forester, I'm red faced LOL!

Clock!!

Oh. My. Gosh. I hate DST anyway, but I was SO frustrated on top of changing a gazillion house clocks, because I had NO CLUE how to set my 2014 Forester clock. I was laughing at Eleslie mentioning being a highly trained computer technician and having difficulty. I was thinking...Okay...I have my college degree, I should be able to figure out how to adjust the time! LOL. Manual under "clock" was no help, as mine does not have the buttons indicated near the clock. Anyway, THANK YOU so much for the help. I feel I will sleep better having conquered that challenge. :)

So I figured out how to change the time (hour) after much frustration.. how about changing the minutes? Anyone know?? Can't get to them. I guess when trying to adjust the hour the minutes "stopped" so now my clock is slow.

Just as I posted above for changing the hour.

DATE --> DATE --> Use the up/down triggers to get to the time area, highlight the minutes. Hit the middle trigger (I/Set) to select the hour, then pull the up/down trigger to change the time.
