Just bought a 2011 Forester Touring. 97K miles, one previous owner and is super clean. Bone dry underneath. Going to do oil changes every 3k miles not 7.5 as the manual says. Mechanic changed battery without a relay and it was wonky for a couple of minutes. Died while backing out but recovered right away. Had to reset the clock but no longer have the MPG indicator on the upper center dash. I love how smooth it drives and how comfortable it is.

Trip odometer must be engaged and displayed for MPG to display. If the 97K odometer is displayed, the MPG will be deactivated.

As indicated the 2011/2012 FB engines tended to use oil. Track oil use. If it is way out of line contact subaru

Good tip thanks. Had a foot of snow Tuesday night and I had to drive to town but the Forester handled the snow on a dirt road better than my 05 CRV I just sold.
