Horn honks randomly especially when turning or the door closes. Switched horn relays without change.

You can make the horn honk when lightly tapping on the top cover of the steering wheel so I am assuming it is a problem underneath.

How do you get the cover off and what advice do you have once I do?

Years ago had an issue with a Dodge Grand Caravan, still under warranty, that would sounded its own horn after an hour on the freeway at speed. Awkward; surprised nearby cars and me. Dealer trtied to fix problem and threw parts at it - no resolution. Then vacationed for week in Escalantee, UT and drove 3 round trips on 40 mile washboarded gravel road at speeds >40 mph. So after 350 speedy miles of washboarded roads the issue never again showed up. Vibration cured it.

With a thorough set of directions, and then very carefully. Think of the airbag as a bomb(it is).
I believe disconnecting the battery is the first step.
