Hi all,

I’m based in Western Australia and am having a look at a 2010 Forester SH diesel, manual later this week. It’s got service history (not subi specialists) and 210k kms on the clock. It needs a window regulator but otherwise it’s ok. I’m looking at the diesel due to its extended fuel range and for the 90km daily commute I’ll be doing with a new job. I currently have a 2008 SH auto 2.5 X (which I’ll be keeping) - I’ve done the head gaskets on this so thought the diesel might be better.
I understand there are issues with these cars but wanted some advice…

@Subyforester Check out the thread recommended by Bobby and also check out the rest of the threads in that section. I would not go anywhere near the diesel Foz! (I do have a Triton diesel though)

i’ve had a look and there’s some useful stuff there.

I’ve added stuff to my public profile but using my phone. will have look on a computer to make sure I’ve done it right!

yep, starting to think I’ll look at a diesel from a manufacturer that’s been doing it for longer…
