Last November picked up and 09 X. I noticed there’s some gasket sealant on the transmission. There’s also a minor leak.

What issues am I looking at now or down the line?

And any ideas on whats the cause?

If there is ANY coolant there it's head gasket time

Holy Moly!!! It looks like an 8-year old did that. It should never look like that as you well know. I would take it to a reputable Suby mechanic and have them take a look and get that fixed and sealed up properly.

2010 X Limited, 2.5L NA, 4AT. Purchased as the second owner in 2020 with ~126K miles.

I'd say pull away some of that RTV and evaluate the oil that drips out. That's the interface between the transmission and the differential. Find out who is leaking and keep a keen eye on your fluid levels.

I had a similar leak and solved the problem very inexpensively. See my posts in this thread:
