Hi I am a newbie to this site. I have a 09 fxt with a new motor and a upgraded turbo(16g). My cobb tuner is saying that it is running too rich. I had lowered my boost control since its been doing that. Could this be the problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Without seeing the actual numbers, it's only possible to speculate. However, if you are seeing a rich condition while under boost, your issue is too much fuel not too much air. Turning the boost down will likely exacerbate the rich condition. Either the boost needs to be increased to account for more fuel (if it can be safely done), or the fuel needs to be scaled back. I don't recall if COBB has an off the shelf map for a 16G turbo or not. This may be the issue if you do not have a specific map for your current setup. My advice would be to hire a tuner to work out your problem. You can either find someone local ish with a chassis dyno, or you can hire an E-tuner since you have an accessport. There are a few such tuners floating around on this forum. One may chime in on this, or you could try making a post seeking one out. The good news is, rich is almost always better than lean. Good luck!

COBB does not offer shelf maps for any turbos outside of the Stock ones (Even VF swaps on TD04 equipped models) ...

Now when you say "COBB Tuner" , are you referring to an actual calibration and tuning specialist or your COBB accessport?

It turns out a vacuum hose disconnected, since then I replaced the mechanical boost conrol to an electronic boost control. It so far its been top shape. Hoping I got all the right connections with my new motor and machined heads(about 1500miles on now). It took a few things to get it running to where I hoped it would be, but thank you for trying to help I appreciate it. Aloha, Jon Lum
