I had a problem with a whistling noise coinciding with my gas pedal. It was diagnosed at the Subaru dealership as a problem with my catalytic converter.
It was replaced about 4 months ago when a check engine light came on. No check engine light this time.
Anyway it seems to be running fine with no more whistle noise but I now get a low pitched noise at a certain point of changing gears when giving gas. I can sort of hold the sound if I hold the RPM but it then goes away pretty easily.
The odd thing was this can be reproduced just like the whistle sound.
Should I be worried? Should I return to dealership for them to look at?
All is under warranty for the next few months. This was warranty work.
