Hello all. Having a new long motor fitted in the Forester. It is supplied and fitted and comes with a 12 month unlimited kilometre warranty.......however if you guys were doing this are there any changes or mods you would suggest to safeguard the new motor.....not add horsepower or anything, more along the lines of addressing inherent issues? For example someone suggested I look at a mod that's available that increases coolant flow to cylinder 4....little tips like that? This is a big investment and I would appreciate any shared knowledge as I know nothing about Subarus really. Thanks heaps, stay safe.

Yes, XT semi-closed:
"... not only the turbo engines, but also the diesel engines, have semi-closed decks, specifically for rigidity of the cylinder barrels so they don't move against the head gaskets..."

These seem to be a few tips so far:
better oil pick up
banjo bolt screen filters (new banjo bolts)
cylinder 4 cooling mod
run an air/oil separator
