hi
i have forester sh 2008 2.0L (i'm not from usa)
i want to upgrade to vtd (so i will have 55/45 power split) for offroad use
i have mechanic that will do the job
can you help me find what the part name is? my english is ok but not perfect so i dont know how to search for that

after that i want to change the rear diff to 160

As you've had no responses here you could try over at offroadsubarus.com as I feel sure some of the guys there will know the answer (you'll need to register)

The Euro guys may also have the correct knowledge - I will post a link

Not sure if this is what you are after. The STI’s have a unit is called a DCCD (driver controlled centre Diff). Has two Diffs connected together; one mechanical; the other electronically activated. There is a controller inside the car.

I have also seen YouTube videos on modifications, for other Subaru models, that have electronically controlled centre Diffs. It entailed connecting a switch between two wires going to the Centre Diff. This enable the driver to switch the centre diff on all the time.

There is also a Torq Locker for Subaru Diffs.

@Dogs DCCD is different to VTD (Variable Torque Distribution)
