I have a 2008 Forester Sports X and the passenger side rear brake light has broken. The thing is, only the outermost clear plastic portion is damaged. I can't seem to find anyone that sells just the outer shell but don't know if thats even replaceable separately from the entire light fixture.

Does anyone know if you can replace the outer clear plastic portion and where to find that part? I'm kind of bummed if I have to buy a 150+ light fixture just for one small part being damaged.

Thanks!

As far as I know, nobody was able to seperate the rear lights to darken the interior on the 2006-2008. I assume you'll have to get a complete light fixture.

I bought the "sport" black housing tails made by Depo for under $100 each. I've had them for a few years now and they haven't leaked or had any condensation form inside.
