Wife and I were driving back on I-70 through a snowstorm when an 18 wheeler went to pass us and suddenly we were trapped with a giant piece of ice in the road in front of us. I had her ram it because either side of us was certain death. Long story short the plastic skid plate under the engine broke.
Is this something that can be easily replaced? or if it can is there a metal alternative that might be better? I've read links with people discussing if you really need it or not.
Thanks for any input. I'm not really look for a cool mod, more of just and ice rammer. It could come from U-wrench it or somebody's garage.

Thanks

The stock plastic one is pretty fragile, if you plan to ram anymore pieces of ice you might want to pick up a metal one. There are a number of companies making them including primitive and subtle. Theres usually a choice of thickness as well.
