Just got an 05 Forester, haven't worked on them before so I need some help diagnosing. Noticing some oil leaking, It's coming from above the oil filter. If my eyes do not deceive me it seems like something isn't lined up right, there's a half covered threaded hole? Take a look at the pictures.

That's all Head Gasket leaking. The seam between the oil filter and exhaust manifold stud, is the Head Gasket seam.

My 05 leaked for a long time all the way up to 250,000+ miles, what's weird is it leaked less after switching to high-mileage synthetic.
