Hello all!
I have a 2005 FXT Auto, 140k miles. During a WOT acceleration from a stop, inconsistently (although more and more frequently) when the car goes to shift into second the car cuts the throttle completely and nothing happens for 1-2 seconds before resuming WOT in second. It happens from drive, 3rd, and upshifting manually from first to second. It only happens when floored. If I back off to below 80-ish percent throttle it shifts normally. all other shifting in every gear is completely normal. I have tried replacing the trans fluid, using vmax synthetic ATF and have replaced the filter, and the car still does it. I installed an aftermarket cooler when I replaced the radiator, and it does not appear to be a temperature related thing either. No check engine lights, no A/T temp light, everything I can read on OBD looks fine.

For anyone who runs across this forum looking for the same issue - I replaced my o2 sensor and the problem went away.
