Well that's a big oops! That's how the boxes were labeled — [email protected], [email protected] I believed the numbers.

So I examined each closely and found the numbers gently engraved — 342, 343, 344, 345.

Do those look right?

There are a lot of videos on YouTube about struts and what they use on Foresters. Also lift kits. I think it depends on how you use your Forester; A lot of road use or off road use. The videos can help you make your decision.

Like Bman I had not heard of a KYB strut assembly. Thanks for that link. Unfortunately there is not a complete assembly for a Subaru, yet, according to your link.
I found Monroe and Gabriel complete strut assemblies available at Rockauto.com for the 2005 Forester.
