2005 2.0 x MPG

I am seriously thinking about buying a Forester, probably a 2005 to 2006 model. It will be a 2.0 litre normally aspirated engine with manual gearbox. (I am based in the UK so UK spec, imp. gallons etc)

I just wondered if someone could give me realistic figures on what I could expect it to return in terms of MPG? Just normal road speed driving, not pushing it, not heavily loaded, mix of town and country. What will it average out at? I have looked through this forum and figures seem to very quite a bit. The log at the head of this section is quite useful, but just wanted a few more figures.
