2004 Subaru Forester XT 4EAT
Hey guys, I have a 2004 XT. Did a water pump and timing belt replacement due to mileage and overheating plus whining when starting up the car. I am still having an overtemp issue after the new water pump. I think I have the system burped properly but can’t seem to keep the system from over heating. I used a radiator funnel to slowly add coolant and ran the engine. I do not see bubbles come out of the funnel and the coolant level seems to stay constant. I used an IR thermometer to measure the temp at the thermostat and output from the block. Both seem to be around 170 degrees. The lower hose seems cooler than the upper radiator hose. The heater blows hot. Any ideas?
