ok friends, I have noticed in my 2003 forester that when i go to make left u turn or tight turns in parking lots that a squealing sound starts, it almost sounds like tire squealing. been sifting through youtube and other forums and can’t find anything that is quite like the problem I have. I do drive this thing fairly hard (like take it down atv trails hard), so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s something with the suspension or drivetrain.
please let me know if you’ve got any ideas or follow up questions.

Sounds like it could be related to the power steering pump.

Check under the hood and see if you need to add some power steering fluid to the power steering reservoir.

I have a 2003 Forester and I get the same squealing noise if I turn the steering wheel to far to the left or right. But for me it's no big deal as it still turns and the power steering pump is still working. I don't think there is a need to replace anything in the power steering system.

yeah the steering fluid is the first thing i checked, it was right on the minimum line, i’ll fill it up and see if that helps.
