Hey guys,

I just swapped out my stock header for an UEL header. The oil heater line runs right up on top of the new header. Those that have done the swap, how did you protect that rubber hose? I flattened the header out as much as I could and wrapped it only in that spot. But I'm still a little worried about it melting after a while.

TIA

@WhiskeyDave Hi! I know you posted this question some time ago, but was wondering what your outcome with the UEL header was and the oil lines.. I too want to install an uel header, but my ‘01 came with the Oil Cooler also and after much research I haven’t been able to find an answer yet. Which header did you buy? I guess a solution could be, taking the header to a really skilled welder and modifying it to allow fitment of oil cooler/lines..
