Hey all!

So I’m new to the whole forum thing, but I’m hoping that maybe someone could steer me in the right direction? I have a 2003 forester x 5 speed with an all stock ej25, that has just hit 217,000 miles.

The problem I’m having is that I’m getting codes p0301, p0302, p0303, and p0304, but the car runs perfect it seems? It doesn’t seem to be lacking any power and I’m not losing any fuel mileage. So I did a tune up, changing the autolite spark plugs out for copper NGK plugs and used NGK wires as well, then also switched out the ignition coil with another coil I had from a parts car. The CEL has stayed off at this point for about 700 miles but then came back .. So I then checked the knock sensor and could only find a small cut in the rubber coating of the wire, but it wasn’t actually through the wire. And the casing seems to be in good shape too.

But unfortunately the problem persists. Some other issues with the car are that the cv axles seals in the front are leaking onto the exhaust, the air bag light comes and goes from time to time and the abs light is on. ( I think due to an abs pump that’s on its way out.)

Sorry for the lengthy post but if somebody could please help solve my headache It’d be very appreciated! 😁

The abs light is on when the CEL is on. That's by design so don't worry about that, unless it stays on when the CEL is off.
Your airbag light should not be on. That's likely a separate issue.

Since it is on all four cylinders, I'd check fuel pressure next. Unfortunately, this is not anything you can read by means of OBD2 on a Subaru. You'll need a fuel pressure gauge in line between the tank and engine. A good spot is the output of the fuel filter to the engine. I think it wants to be around 45-50 psi but can make sure about that, once you're ready to do it.
